The Don Hoyt scholarship was established in 2010 by the MGM Foundation, Inc, in memory of Mr. Don Hoyt, a devout Catholic and humanitarian.  He and his wife Jane raised 7 children and sent them all to Catholic schools.  Mr. Hoyt reflected his love of God and his Christianity in the way that he lived his life.  The SAOPCS memorial scholarship essay contest is an annual tribute to his legacy of love and service.
