The St. Anthony of Padua Difference
The middle school program serves as a transition for students from elementary to high school. Curriculum is challenging and exploratory. Instruction pulls together the best from many methods and programs to address learning styles as well as the gifts and talents of our students. The philosophy and practices recommended by the National Middle School Association are incorporated.
Classes are departmentalized with teachers promoting higher level thinking skills, the use of technology as a learning tool and character development. The goal for the middle school program is to prepare students for the challenges that await them in high school.
Middle School students develop leadership skills through student organizations. Activities beyond the classroom such as field trips, guest speakers, assemblies, field day, athletics, academic competitions and student performances provide a well-rounded experience for our students. The experience of our middle school students is enhanced with state of the art facilities including an art room, science lab, computer lab, music rooms, foreign language lab, gymnasium and athletic fields.
