Saint
Anne’s Society of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church
The
mission of the St Anne’s Society of St. Anthony of Padua
Catholic Church is to encourage all women blessed with the gift
of motherhood to fulfill their vocation with the dignity,
humility, and love of St. Anne, the mother of Mary. St. Anne’s
Society provides opportunities for spiritual growth, education,
friendship and support. In addition, we serve our parish and
the community by leading and participating in service projects
throughout the year.
- We
hold monthly educational meetings, focused on various topics
related to our Catholic faith, our children and service to
the community. These meetings are usually the first Monday
morning of the month, and childcare is available by
reservation.
- Small
scripture study groups meet once a month at various times
during the day and evening, with childcare available by
reservation.
- Each
month we have a “Mommy and Me” meeting, usually focused on a
service project or holiday theme, with activities and
crafts for young children.
- We
serve our parish and the community in various ways such as
organizing the parish Easter Egg Hunt, adopting a family
during the holidays and providing home-cooked meals to new
moms and families in need.
Other
activities include:
*
Mom’s Night Out/In -
Monthly opportunities to meet other parish moms for dinner,
coffee, scrapbooking, etc.
*
Couples’ Nights – Monthly
outing with your spouse for dinner at a member’s home or
restaurant.
*
Playdates – Informal
get-togethers with children at parks, pools or other locations
around The Woodlands.
