Parish Services and Use of Facilities

The Wedding Coordinator is a volunteer from the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Community. The ministry’s major functions are assistance at the wedding ceremony and hospitality. The volunteer will help arrange the worship space for the service requested and assist both at the rehearsal and at the ceremony.

A volunteer wedding coordinator will be assigned for you and be present at your rehearsal and at the wedding ceremony. Professional wedding coordinators may NOT be used at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Community.

Pastoral Associate

The Pastoral Associate is a parish staff member who will assist you in the planning of the wedding ceremony. She will assist you in choosing the prayers, blessings and readings. Contact the Parish Office at 281-419-8700 or email Julie Korniewicz to assist you in choices of music and environment.

Use of Church Facilities

There is no charge for the Sacraments in the Catholic Church or for the use of the church. Our parish incurs expenses such as heating/air conditioning, maintenance and clean up for weddings. To help defray these expenses, you are asked to make a donation to the church. Presently, the requested donation is $400.00. Please make the check payable to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Facilities available for use:

1. Church for the time scheduled.
2. Parlor for Bride and attendants (see Policies for Use).
3. Cry Room and Groom and attendants (see Policies for Use).

If, at any point in the marriage preparation process, either the bride or the groom changes his/her personal, cell or business phone number or address, please let the parish office know immediately! We will be phoning you with important questions during the marriage preparation process.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE BE ABLE TO REACH YOU!

Use of the Parlor and the Cry Room

THE PARLOR

The community invites the Bride and her attendants to use the parlor and/or classroom 105 and adjacent restroom for dressing. The following policies are to be observed.

1. The Parlor is available for the Bride and attendants one (l) hour before the wedding. Because this room has limited space, a classroom in the adjoining building can be provided, if needed.

2. NO SMOKING in this area or any area of the complex.

3. NO FOOD OR DRINK (except bottled water) in this area or any area of the complex.

4. Wedding parties must remove all personal belongings from the parlor area prior to the start of the wedding ceremony. Due to multiple weddings on Saturdays, another wedding party could be using the parlor immediately after you. This is a safety issue as well as a courtesy.

5. The wedding party should assign a relative or friend to be responsible for cleanup of personal belongings.

6. Please leave the parlor neat and clean.

7. Do not put makeup, boxes, flowers, etc., on the couch or chairs. Please treat furnishings with care. CLASSROOM 101

Groom Waiting Area

The community invites the Groom and his attendants to use Classroom 101 and adjacent restroom for waiting. The following policies are to be observed:

1. The Classroom is available for the Groom and his attendants one (l) hour before the Wedding.

2. NO SMOKING in this area or any area of the complex.

3. NO FOOD OR DRINK (except bottled water) in this area or any area of the complex.

4. This area may be used for waiting or use of the adjacent restroom for changing.

5. Please remove all personal belongings from the area prior to the start of the wedding ceremony.

6. Please leave the area neat and clean.
