Renewed interest in Catholic Evangelization recently has
given birth to many successful programs of outreach,
invitation and initiation.
Returning Catholics,
however, are often shuttled into programs designed to
meet other needs. (RCIA, RENEW, Inquiry classes, etc.)
Landings is a proven Paulist program specifically
designed to welcome those who wish to investigate
returning.
Landings will
evangelize active Catholics who help in the welcoming.
Landings can operate in
any parish of any size and is guaranteed to energize
rather than exhaust the welcomers as well as the
welcomed.

With
Landings, a group of six to eight active Catholics join
together to welcome two or three returning Catholics.
The group provides a landing place, a safe spot to touch
down, where they will share faith journeys, prayer, and
discussions of Catholic spirituality with ordinary
Catholics who are trying to live their faith.
The Creed, Prayer, Scripture, their own spiritual
autobiographies and concerns set the agenda for the
meetings.
At the conclusion of the process, they will experience
the joy and healing of a weekend retreat, possibly with
other area Landings groups. |
